I recently went online to look up some ways to remove sticker residue from my car. I tried a few ways and alot of them wern't working great so I tried one option which was nail polish(not thinking) and it took most of the residue off. (I didn't do this on the paint, it was on a plastic part) However, It discolored the plastic which was black and made it a little white. Not all white just kind of faded to white in the area where it was put on. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this such as polishing it out because I don't want to replace it and pay like 40 - 100 dollars at a scrap yard. I feel so stupid now for using nail polish, but I clearly wasn't thinking straight. The plastic is made black (all the way through) (it isn’t a painted black) You can still somewhat see the black behind it as it is a faded white/black colour.
