• There is this clamping which holds the mold at certain pressure to ensure uniformity in the units output.

• Then the injection unit comes where plastic pellets are loaded into a hopper that too at the top. The pellets are fed into the cylinder and heated until they are liquefied. Inside the unit there is this screw that turns and mixes the plastic till it reaches the optimum point. With force and pressure and speed controlled by the screw or ram plastic is formed.

• After all the processes a halt is given with some pressure to ensure all the mold cavities are completely filled. It is important to fill it correctly or else it will only be a scrap.

• Then the mold is let to be cooled for the desired period of time. Lack of proper timing may result the units to stick or become deformed.

• The clamping units are opened to separate the mold. And these molds can be used again and again. This is the single most important in the whole process and something that can be repeated too. That is what makes the tooling of mold to be the most expensive.

• Finally the final product is ejected from the molding machine. The finished product can be continued on a production line or stacked as parts for larger products like car steering wheel or something.

The products of plastic are used in everyday of our life without realizing the fact of all the hardwork from which it is derived.
