Yes ,its good but it also depends on the way you write it so people WANT to read it and not just get scared by seeing soo much stuff that they wont read anything. REALLY need to make your spelling better.

The pungent aroma filled my nostrils like the morning dew. Unfortunately for me, the warm steady streams of three other dirty, putrid homeless people followed it. It’s known as a poor man’s shower on the streets. When you don’t wake up early enough; well, good luck. A friend once told me, “Friendship is like pissing yourself, everyone see’s it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings. Well shit, I must have a lot of friends I don’t know about in New York.

I pull the plastic up to cover my face; I think it’s a trash bag. Or what’s left of it anyways. But last night, it was my bathroom, living room and my home.
“Go to hell!” I yell in an attempt to liberate me from my newfound friends.
“Well buddy, you’re holding a trash bag over your face while laying under a bridge, I think you’re already there.” I could here his buddies laughing as they walked away.
No respect, why don’t they get that we are all sailing in the same boat; living off peoples scraps and pitying the working class into giving us a couple sense for a donut at the nearest gas station. But they did have a point, I mean, how much worse can it really get?

“Hey there, sugar t!ts.” I quickened my pace down the stairs. “What?” He said smoothly. “You don’t want a good luck kiss?” I stopped to turn around and give him my favorite one-finger gesture. The corners of his cracked lips turned up slightly. “Why do you treat me like this Zita? Why won’t you give me a chance?”

I crinkled my nose and scrunched up my face. “I’ll give you a chance when you get through puberty — if you ever reach it.” I replied coolly. His mouth bared a full grin now, showing his brownish teeth. “You’re so funny! You see, that’s why I love you.” I ignored his comment and continued heading down the stairs to the main room. The last thing I needed was some greasy, pimple-faced, fourteen year old trying to hit on me.

I had other things to think about. Like where I was going to live after I moved out. I had no home to go home to. All I had was a few scraps of clothing, a couple thousand dollars saved up from some old jobs, and an old matted teddy bear.

I walked into the main room where some of the younger kids were playing…and fighting.
“Give it to me!”
“No!”
“It’s my turn you douche bag!”
“No. I’m not giving it to you muscle man!”

Melanie, the tomboy of the group, dropped the toy car and clenched her fists. “I. Am. Not. A. MAN!” She punched Curtis in the jaw and he staggered. Melanie was about to jump on him but I quickly pulled her off. Curtis was now trying to reciprocate by throwing punches back. After five minutes of struggling and packed blows, I was able to separate them.

“Curtis upstairs! Melanie! Go set up the tables. I don’t want to hear you two fighting for the rest of the night.” I stalked off to the kitchen wiping sweat from my brow. I then plopped heavily down on one of the plastic lawn chairs set up by the cabinets. “I don’t how you do it Lynda. You’ve been here all these years and dealt with all that”, I said motioning towards the door.

She smiled faintly at me. “I don’t know what I’m gonna’ do when your gone. You were always so different from the other kids. Always said ‘yes mam” and ‘no mam’. You never caused trouble—well unless someone tried to take your stuff— but you were always very sweet. Just promise me something though.” I looked over at her and she caught my gaze. “Promise me you’ll come and visit sometime.”

“Of course.” I agreed, even though the last thing I wanted was to return to this hell hole. Still Lynda was the closest thing to a friend I ever had. She wasn’t like the other workers at the children’s home. Lynda was one of the ones that actually cared. She didn’t just do this because she had to, but because she wanted to. She was the only one who cared if you cried.
I know the grammar part is lacking but I’m not focused on that right now. Just content.

honestly, u write really well. the first paragraph i was like..this isnt that good, but then it got REALLY good. u have a way with describing stuff, a quality of a good writer. anways keep it up and i hope u continue this, cuz its great so far!

So I’m getting 2 rats again soon, and I’ve had them in the past, but this time I want to provide the best care I can for them. For housing, I want to convert a large bird cage, (take out wire bottom, and ideas for adding levels?) or make a bookshelf into a cage, by adding a door, putting vinyl tile and fleece on the shelves,and cutting a hole in each shelf. Do these sound like good housing options, if not what do you suggest? For their main diet, I will feed Harlan Teklad blocks, until they are 4 months, and then gradually switch them over to Oxbow (that’s the best brand my pet store has). Of course I will also feed them fruits and veggies, probably about 3-4 tablespoons each, and healthy table scraps/treats like potato, whole wheat noodles, eggs, yogurt, nuts, cereal, etc. If I get a bird cage, I will use either aspen shavings, Healthy pet cat litter, or pets preference bedding. If you have opinions of which one is best, please share them. I will clean their cage once a week, and for the bird cage, I would wash it in the tub, and disinfect with a bleach or vinegar solution, but I’m not sure how I would thoroughly clean the shelf cage, I guess by washing the fleece, and wiping down the vinyl tiles/ inside of shelves with warm, soapy water, and then wipe with damp cloth, and dry. I will also wash cloth toys and hammocks weekly, and bowls/ bottles, or plastic toys will get cleaned the same way as the cage. I will “rat proof” my room and let them run around while I do my homework (which is a pretty long time!) For toys, so far I have cardboard boxes, toilet paper tubes, plastic tunnel, wooden nestbox, climbing rope, many hammocks, some sock tunnels, a wooden chew toy with a nut inside, I also plan to make toys out of cardboard boxes/toilet paper tubes/paper, with treats inside so they have to chew to get the treats. So, if you have any input, or advice for anything I’m missing or should do different, let me know. I just want my rats to live a long happy life!

this all sounds amazing, you clearly know rats very well. everything seems perfect, youre deffinately ready.
as for the cages, they both sound like great options. i would recoment the bird cage rather than the bookshelf, as it would be much easier to clean, and if they were to chew the shelf it could get pretty damaged, and they also may encounter splinters.

This one is a Vito, made of plastic, goes to a low Eb, and has been heavily abused over the last 20-30 years before it came to be mine. I am getting incredibly frustrated with its unreliability, especially when I am at an audition and it decides to fail. Does anyone have any recommendations for a bass clarinet that isn’t too overly expensive, plays above a high G directly above the staff, and preferably has the low C/D attachments? I understand that these instruments are not cheap, but I am just trying to help in the selection process.

Long story, don’t ask. x)

Anyway. One of them is wrapped in plastic wrap–so tape won’t tear it–and ou know how on a dresser, if you close the drawer there’s still a ledge space thing behind it that you can’t really see? Bad description but anyway, it’s taped there and you can’t see it…the other one in also wrapped in plastic wrap. I have an air vent in my floor–which is carpeted–under my bed. When you lift it out, the carpet around the hole can be lifted up…it’s in there and you can’t see or feel it, the only bad thing is one time i almost dropped it down the vent! Anyway, it’s there, and I put the vent back. I repeat it’s nothing illegal! I’m just 12 ;) so. Do u guys think it’s good place to hide a ‘diary’ from snooping parents? Thanks in advance. :)
Btw i know this is in the wrong category x3 i was too lazy to put it in the right one lol
