Some car questions about a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant and it’s engine.?

I recently totaled my 2003 Mit. Galant. I’m not very educated when it comes to cars and how to fix them so I have a couple questions.

It has a transverse 4 cylinder…I think 2.0. Now, my question is…will a transverse engine fit into a vehicle that has a front engine? Because…when I got the hood open of my car…everything is intact. It’s most all body damage. All the plastic stuff is broken…like the air filter and fuse box. Engine, Transmission, Radiator, Gas Tank, Oil Pan, all the lines, wiper motor, and all the fluids are still full. So…I guess I’m just trying to figure out what I can do with all this. It’s only got like 60k miles on it…and that’s pretty good for a Mitsubishi. Do I just fine a galant or another car that the engine will fit…with a blown engine or something…and just piece the two cars together? If so…do you a site that I can look that info up on? Only reason I ask is that I also own a Chevy s-10 with a questionable engine and transmission. I just can’t let the entire car go to the scrap yard for a couple hundred bucks when I can get it started. The body is beyond repair…but the frame isn’t bent and the internal stuff runs. So, your thoughts? Thank you in advance
