I have 3 radiators sitting in my garage. All have plastic tanks on the sides. Can I still take them to be sold with the tanks still on there? I cant seem to get them off.
Also, how much is aluminum going for?
Thanks. Now how do I choose the best answer?

You can sell them that way…but they take off a lot more than what the tanks weigh. Get a big hammer and smash them off…I have….plus I found that there is a copper tubing that goes through the tank ( transmission cooling line )….so you can sell that too.
Rates or prices change all the time….you actually get more money for the core aluminum than you get for cans. Call you local scrape yard for prices.
you will get a better price if you remove the plastic tanks
If you have to, cut the tanks off, bust ‘em whatever. Most places will (horribly) guestimate the weight of the tanks and subtract that from the price. Price varies from place to place. The local yard by me here in San Diego is going for .50 per pound.
