Okay, what type of scrap books would YOU like to create and why?
Posted by admin in Question & Answers, tags: books, create, like, Okay, scrap, Type, wouldFor me, I have several ideas..(right now I am making a UNconventional scrapbook..using a binder, with plastic sheets and cardstock and stickers, paper cut outs..and other added ideas to the scrap book! I am making a jewelry scrap book..and I am cutting out the pictures of jewelry ideas that I love!(It is not the way that others make their scrap books!) but, I love those plastic sheets!) I used to make Montessori scrap books for my early childhood classes and they had to have the plastic sheets! But, hey, they look really, really nice!! I am not teaching now..but, I love the “albums” that I have made!! They are very nice!!
I may also make a book on poetry, or a “Shadow book” and or a Mandala book..because I love to draw intricate designs!
and or a recipe book with tidbits inside of it..and or a regular family and friends photo book, etc..(there are many, many ideas to go on!!!) LOL!
What about you?
Thanks!

Hmm I wish I had a scrap book, Im so damn lazy though! lol Although last year I travelled a lot to different places and was going to make a scrap book out of the pictures, brochures and tickets I got when I was travelling, never got around to it tho. I do have folders of all my art, and also a notebook of pictures, art, articles, random stuff I liked out of books, and magazines.
it all really depends on what you want to do, right now i am making one for my daughter on her cake decorating skills, i just finished one for my older daughter on her high school years, its all dependant on you, just follow your heart, first step is to find pictures you want to use and let your first choice guide you to a theme
I’m going to make one on songs. I have a few oldie songs in mind; And they called it Puppy Love, He Ain’t Heavy (He’s my brother), etc. Each oldie will have a photo to go with it.
I have several hobbies which include scrapbooking, family history, candlemaking and organic gardening. I make candles year round, so I take picture of them when I make new designs or types. I have researched my family on both sides back to the 1860s. Scrapbooking is my cold season hobby, I have create scrapbook page with pictures of the elders telling the folklores with the details of the stories. I have pages that represent different individuals within the family from my interviews. I create pages from my garden, it also doubles as a journal much like my candle making pages.
I have seed packets from my first garden, my thought and even research from organic gardening studies. And of course my kids, I had more pictures that I knew what to do with. My two books are for my first grandchild scheduled for delivery in the fall. I use handmade stuff, purchased stuff whatever strikes me.
