One is paying for convenience with the ourchase of these “custom-sized” (proprietary) Krups filters. I love the coffee maker and am willing to pay for convenience. If you wish to stretch the use of the filters they can be rinsed, dried and reused … they’re that sturdy.

Our old coffee maker finally died and, after some shopping, I decided on a Krups machine. The only potential problem was the filters, which I did not see at many stores. This amounts to a year’s supply for us, was easy to order and came as advertised.
