Just got went to doctor for check-up..?
Posted by admin in Question & Answers, tags: checkup.., doctor, just, wentand he ended up cleaning out my right ear with proxide/alcohole, she said it had alot of wax build up inside and it needed it so I let her do it (he only did one ear, the right one)
So he scrapped some of the wax out with a rubber plastic thingy, then flushed out the rest with whatever they use to do that, and now the ear he flushed out is kinda aching and I can hear alot better in that one causing my hearing to be kind of unbalanced, it feels as though my left ear is clogged now and my right ear isn’t, almost makes it like my left ear is going deaf I hate it!
Do you guys think the aching will go away, and the hearing will balance back up? Cause I love listening to music, and I don’t want it to be weirdly unbalanced the rest of my life…. Should I go back and ask him to flush the other ear too? It might help but I dunno..

if it keeps feeling bad go back to the dr.
The treated ear could be inflammed with all the scrapping. Give it a few days. If there is no improvement, go back.
go back and ask him, and take advil
I’m sure it will even out, but if you have concerns you should call your doctor.
It will be fine, just give it a couple of days. You are not used to having such a clean ear but soon you will be! Your music will probably sound worlds better soon enough.
yea your ear is just reacting to getting that done.. you should have clean out the other if its a bad problem to you.
Give it a week to balance out.
And keep your ears clean, man!
Yes, that is usually what happens when you get your ear cleaned out. The aching will go away.
If it doesn’t after a day or so, call your doctor!
When you do one ear, it’s always good to do the other. It should make things a little more balanced for you. However, a little aching is normal. If it lasts too long, consult your doctor. Remember to regulary clean your ears too.
I know people who have had that same procedure done, but never in just one ear. Sorry…I can see how it would be strange and uncomfortable.
the ache is because the ear can now recieve a lot more input so it is kinda overloading but the ache will disappear as the ear adjusts. you might try flushing the other ear you self with some peroxide if that doesnt work walmart has some good do it you self cleaners.
Wait a day and if it doesnt go away, then do go back and have him do the other ear. I’m sure he feels that you only needed that side done and no need for the other side. It could feel weird since its been clogged up all this time and now its just an odd feeling.
Again, give it a day and if not, then go back and let him know.
You won’t be weirdly unbalanced for the rest of your life! It is normal to have some wax in your ears, just not a ton. SO right now you right ear has none, while the left ear has a normal amount. If in a few days you still feel funky I would call the doctor back. My parents used to do this to me and my sister once a month when we were kids, but they always did both ears. By the next day my ears didn’t bug me anymore, but if you’ve never had it done before I could imagine it being pretty funky. And if it bugs you too bad you could always just try doing it to the left to your self, but I wouldn’t reccomend it if the doctor said that your left ear was fine.
