Is there a place that buys copper wire scraps?

Not likely. Copper is the fastest value increasing metal in the world right now. It seems the copper mines that once existed are very depleted due to demand for copper. Nowadays its a hot commodity and people are always looking for a copper junk yard to get some quick cash for copper. You might be able to get a special arrangement with one of those guys but Good Luck!!!
Of course. Look in your yellow pages for “recycling”, call them and ask how much they pay for copper. It’s been going up & up. You can burn them in a fire in the yard to get the insulation off. But a little scraping or rubbing after it cools will be needed to get it all off.
