Plastic machinery is the general term of various types of machinery and equipment in the plastic processing industry. Some of the fluid and solid transport, separation, crushing, grinding and drying versatile machinery and equipment, also in the plastics processing industry which occupies an important position, so they are also included by plastics machinery. Modern design and manufacturing of plastic machinery, in addition depends on the mechanical engineering and materials science development, especially is closely related to the plastic construction progress of theoretical research.
According to production process of plastic products, plastic machine can be divided into plastic compounding machinery, plastic molding machinery, plastic processing machinery and plastic processing secondary auxiliary machinery or equipment these four categories. Plastic compounding machinery is used for various forms of manufacturing plastic compounds, including the kneading machine, refining presses (mill and mixer), pelletizer, screening machines, crushers and grinding machines. Plastic molding machinery,also known as plastic processing machinery, used for semi-finished products or products in plastic molding, including compression molding machine, injection molding machines, plastic extrusion machine, blow molding machine, rolling machines, rotational molding machines, foam machines. Plastic semi-finished products of secondary processing machinery or products used in plastic re-processing and post-processing, including thermoforming machines, welding machines, heat sealing machine, hot stamping, vacuum deposition machines, flocking machines, printing presses and so on. Metal processing machines also used in plastics secondary processing. Plastic processing auxiliary machinery or equipment are used to achieve the rationalization of plastics processing, including automatic measurement of feeding devices, scrap auto recovery, injection molding products automatically remove from the device, rapid replacement of injection mold devices, injection mold cooling machines, automatic thickness measurement devices and materials transport and storage equipment. Such auxiliary machinery or devices, has become a modern plastics processing an integral part of Automation.
The perfection degree of plastic machinery affect the quality,production and cost of plastic semi-finished products or products directly , so it must be able to adapt to the processing of plastic mixed with the temperature and stress changes, and the resulting molten material performance changes and adapt to chemical corrosion and mechanical wear and other special conditions. In recent years, the specialized of plastics grades , the development of engineering plastics, composite materials, the emergence of large-scale structure of plastic products, technologies such as lightweight and thin wall of plastic machinery development to achieve these requirements: For the purposes of products, complete sets of production; high-speed, labor-saving, automation, in order to improve production efficiency products; ensure product specifications and quality level of the minimum error of precision; low energy consumption, small footprint, it is easy and safe for operation and maintenance.
