how can i remove the paint off of this?
Posted by admin in Question & Answers, tags: paint, remove, thiswell i bought this car off my friend and he painted the air cleaner nicely but also painted the plastic vent that connects to it and its scrapping…the paint is all dry..is there any way i can remove the paint and just have it black or a paint that’s for plastic that wont scrap..he used the engine paint that withstands like some amount of heat..

what kind of degreaser? and yeah chemicals would harm the plastic

I would soak it in a degreaser overnight to loosen the paint off. If you use chemicals it could harm the plastic.
something like simple green or purple power at full strength, not an engine degreaser spray.
you can get anew one at a junk yard or try lacquer thinner
