High Impact Styrene Sheet has excellent forming properties, good dimensional stability, impact strength and rigidity. It is one of the oldest and most cost effective thermoplastic sheets available. It is easily thermoformed into intricate shapes. It can be sawed, sheared, punched, vacuum formed and heat bent. Its low thermoforming temperature allows for short heating. Applications include models, displays, stamped parts.

How’d people live before the internet? This product, with another excellent product I bought through Amazon (Plastic Welder(TM) II (47ml Dev-Pak(TM))) was exactly what I needed to complete a custom car stereo/turbo boost controller/turbo timer/cupholder installation in my 1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo. I spent WAY too much time looking for sheet styrene this thick available locally before I finally gave up and did what I should’ve done right from the start – order it from Amazon!

Got a new computer case that only had a spot of 2 60mm fans for cooling. This was prefect for what I needed to do in molding my case to fit two 120mm intake fans. Why this is so hard to find locally is beyond me, and why craft stores do not carry this is insane.

|I use it for Scrimshaw,
I use this product in various thicknesses for the scrimshaw engravings that I make. The material holds the image perfectly, and the excess pigment is easily removed from the surface.
